The name "Podbablje" reflects our geography—nestled at the foot of Mount Biokovo, we enjoy a unique position between mountain and sea. This strategic location has shaped our identity: we possess the peace and authenticity of mountain life while remaining just 30 minutes from the stunning Adriatic coast.

Music and singing play a vital role in our culture. Klapa, a form of traditional a cappella singing, can often be heard during celebrations and gatherings. Local festivals celebrate harvests, saints' days, and historical events, keeping centuries-old customs alive.
