The “Milan Trutin - Šilje” Sports Center is located in Podbablje Gornje.The center features a concrete five-a-side football pitch, which is used throughout the year for recreation and social gatherings. A local branch school is also located in the immediate vicinity.
The sports center was named in honor of Milan Trutin - Šilje, a Croatian war veteran from Podbablje Gornje who lost his life during the Croatian War of Independence. Every year, the Podbablje Gornje Sports Association organizes the traditional “Milan Trutin - Šilje” Memorial Five-a-Side Football Tournament, one of the longest-running and most visited tournaments in Imotska Krajina.The sports center is open to all visitors, and access to the football pitch is available every day.
